Pre-race routine:

woke up at 4:!5, oatmeal with raisins, maple and brown sugar, coffee
drove to san jose, ate part of a banana on the way

i need to eat earlier, and work on sighting. i think i could have worked a little harder too during the swim

Comments:

had a freaking rock in my shoe! I didn't take it out till mile 5! I should have taken it out earlier. but i didn't and i got a big blister. also my shoe untied (opposite foot) and i had to stop and tie it. i probably wasted at least 30s with both stops, maybe more. i also died during the last mile (how sad!)
What would you do differently?:

i need to run train more. and take out rocks before they cause problems.

Warm down:

stretched a lot, ate a bagel and some salad and a cliff bar

What limited your ability to perform faster:

rock in shoe! bike training

Event comments:

there was almost no post race food! bagels but no cream cheese or peanut butter? geez.
