Swim
Comments: Swim felt really good. I was nervous about the swim. First time I swam in a wetsuit. I really didn't have any challenges of people getting in my way. I was worried about the cat fight in the beginnig, but I really had none of that. ONly a few times a few people hit my feet. I will say my arms felt tired, which was odd. I wonder if it wasn't my wetsuit restricting me. What would you do differently?: Possibly sleeveless suit Transition 1
Comments: TRansition was pretty good. No big challenges of taking off full wetsuit Bike
Comments: Bike was okay. I always thing I'm stronger, but then passed up by several people. I was passed by the woman who got 3rd. I did have some friendly competition for about half the way. She passed me and I trailed about 100 meters for the middle 8 miles or so. I caught her about mile 13 and stayed ahead. What would you do differently?: Need to get out on the bike more...I'm frustrated to see women pass me. Transition 2
Comments: When I racked my bike I couldn't get it mounted correctly on the bar. The first time I did it the bike fell and hit the person next to me...which happened to be the overall winner who had some really nice bike. I took a few extra seconds and mounted my bike! Run
Comments: Still struggled for first mile. I saw a couple women in front of me, but I never had it in me to catch them. I never even tried which is now disappointing. There were a couple hills on this course. What would you do differently?: Give it what I got...go after the people in front of me in plain view Post race
Warm down: What's this...not much cool down. Needed to get back to hotel to get kids/cory. Had a couple powerades, banana and orange. Stayed at hotel in Sioux Falls. Ate breakfast...part of english muffin with some peanut butter. I didnt' feel very well and didn't really want to eat. Did have a banana about 1/2 hour before race
Jogged for about 10 minutes..no sprints like usually. I thought the raced started at 8:00, but it started 8:30
