Great swim! For the first time I started at the front of the line. Wasn't as bad as it always looks like. Was able to keep up for the sprint at the beginning and then a lot of people slowed down.

In the middle of the run I lost it. Slowed down a lot and didn't realize it till only a few kms left. Able to pass two people in my age ground in the last half a km though.

Warm down:

Sit in lake, eat some food.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My knee was sore, bashed it good on my bike in the warm up for the race. Was also trying not to go all out as my big race is in a couple weeks.

Event comments:

Race was fun. The event was well organized, however the km markings on the run were horribly placed. One km my split time was 6 min/km the next km my split time was 4 m/km! Great warm up for the season though.
