Comments: It's a pool swim, so hard to say what the time difference is between this and open water. As well as can be expected with turn arounds and the traffic. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Bike ride through town. Not bad this time around. Passed my buddy Scott who pulled away and smoked me on the run. He didn't look so good. Bike isn't my strength, so I knew I still had to hump it to get in the top 150 which was my goal. What would you do differently?: Practice more on the bike (story of my life). Transition 2
Run
Comments: Felt pretty good with the run. Had a pretty good start and a good pace through the turnaround. It's easy to stay engaged with all the stuff to look at through the trail run. Hell Hill (I believe the locals call it) always kicks my butt. Pushed it at the end to try to catch my Scott who was steadily pulling away. He got me, but I ended with a pretty good kick. What would you do differently?: Pace the hill better and kick even harder. Post race
Warm down: Ending in the pool is good. Hammered some fruit and cookies right after. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing really. Just need to train better. Spent the night in Huntsville at a friend's house. Got up early and pounded a bar and a gu. Set up shop in the transition area and then just chilled for a little while.
