What would you do differently?: Be healthy at race time, super good head cold working with anti biotics doing their job. Transition 1
Comments: adequit considering my health at the time What would you do differently?: focus on the situation, it's a race not training. Maintain a sense of urgency at all times. Bike
Comments: Good Bike flat turns were not performed with speed due to surface being wet. Fell down on one turn, last 3 miles came in on the rim with a flat on the rear. Rim destroyed What would you do differently?: Be healthy Transition 2
Comments: Very tired at this juncture with the head cold sapping energy, damn sucks to feel crappy. Freakin' nose running like a faucet and no problem sweating today... What would you do differently?: Be healthier by golly! Run
Comments: Geez, the run course was boring, flat 2 circles and no trees or scenery to look at while running, standing creek crossings due to storm the previous evening. But OCCC couldn't prevent this. What would you do differently?: Be healthy and run faster by golly Post race
Warm down: water and stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: Head cold had me at about 70% at the start of the race, but wanted to perform under these conditions to see how I would do. Event comments: The folks at OCCC did a great job taking care of the athletes and I will be back next year and hopefully healthier. Super job and kudos to all of the marshalls and police officers who monitored the crossings in a super fashion. Last updated: 2008-06-17 12:00 AM
