J'ne swam this. She was 3rd female out of the water. She did great!
What would you do differently?:

I think J'ne swam great. I predicted she would finish in 15min's(based on me swimming it) without really knowing how well she could swim.

Race officials tagged my bike as needing new bar end-caps. Have them re-check before i'm taking the bike out of transition. Lost 5 seconds there. :)

Got a flat as I exited the Archery range which took 10 minutes to fix. I tangled my chain taking the rear wheel off and believe it or not it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to untangle it. FLUSTERED!

In the Motocross trails I missed a turn and GOT LOST!(well, off course at least). This is a trail i've ridden many times so i found my way back to the race course but i don't know how much extra distance i rode.

I expected to do this course in about 1:15:00 to 1:30:00 max, but with the flat and getting lost that expectation was long gone.

Basically I sucked on this leg. No rationalizing here.
What would you do differently?:

Start out at a reasonable pace. I started out way too fast and I could never settle down. Perceived effort was low, but HR was way to high. Only managed that for about 25 minutes before i blew up and had to sit for a minute, on the final hill out of the Archery range.
