Run
Comments: Ran at comfortable Pace What would you do differently?: Probably could have put out some more the first run section. I think I was behind about half of the participants going into the bike section. Transition 1
Comments: First Transition took a few minutes to get my helmet on. Had to tell a girl her helmet was on backwards. What would you do differently?: Would be nice to have aero bars to place helmet on them. Bike
Comments: Should have put a little more effort out I guess the outbound. Thought I did an ok job on teh way back in. Found a few people who passed me and stayed close enough to them to get them at T2 or in the run. What would you do differently?: Have odometer to see where on the course I was at and know how much to put out. Drink more or get a gel for potassium Transition 2
Comments: Pretty easy Transition get helmet off and rack bike no shoe change. What would you do differently?: Maybe should have ran with biking gloves on, that took some time that I didn't have to spend. Run
Comments: Started finding people to pick off and watching them start to walk or slow down. I checked the time and saw I could make 1 hour and 15 so I went for it and did. What would you do differently?: Should have drank more on the bike I calves were craping really bad about the first 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile and then they settled down for the rest of the run. I could have put that much out for the first run. Post race
Warm down: Walked about 1/4 to 1/2 mile drank 2 16 ounce bottles of water and ate a recovery bar. What limited your ability to perform faster: My lack of experience. Event comments: This was my first race and I really didn't know what to expect, how much effort to put out, how much to save ect. I really did enjoy the race I had a great time and was even thinking during the race that I was having fun. Met a few really nice people and just had a great day! Last updated: 2008-06-20 12:00 AM
