Comments:

Felt great on the swim other than taking a foot to my face in the first 50m. Racing in the one piece is definitely faster. I was in the pack for most of the swim leg.

Felt good the whole time, never went into the pain cave, just stayed steady throughout the course. Ran into lapped traffic at the end of the second lap.

Comments:

Shuffled along didn't have any cramps and other than a bloated feeling for the first few miles felt good. Probably could've gone a little harder, but i was enjoying the run with John and didn't want to go too deep and cramp.
What would you do differently?:

push a little harder on the flat/fast sections.

Great race. Only suggestion is to figure out a way to open up the trail as lapped traffic can be a problem on the singletrack.

Course: The course starts on grass then climbs single track to a twisty downhill section before following the bike course for a few miles. Lot of rocks so foot placement is paramount. Great course, very technical with a gnarly bouldering section.
