Pre-race routine:

Just a bagel and coffee and bottle of water. (Normal morning workout breakfast) Showed up early for my first triathlon and got transition setup. walked around to get my bearings of the transition entries and exits.

Stretched and took a couple hundred yard swim.

Swim went better than expected just by remaining calm for the first 1/3. Got really confused by the final buoy, it seemed to be too far to the right, but I saw it early enough to not be too far off.
What would you do differently?:

More swim training to get smoother and more comfortable.

Was very deliberate in transition since it was my first time. Too deliberate! Could've went quicker. Hard time getting my suit off and my shoes on.
What would you do differently?:

Practice removing the wetsuit and then sit down to do the shoes. Ideally, get trishoes but that'll be for later.

Ride was fun! No mechanical problems but the road was really rough. I felt good but was a little disappointed in my time.

I thought it was fantastic! Very well organized and the volunteers were all very friendly and helpful. Raffle was fun and I had a great time!
