Swim
Comments: Horrible swim. Swallowed nasty swamp water and never could get into a rhythm. Arms felt like jello. HORRIBLE!! Felt like i could swim 16-17 min but fell way short of that one. What would you do differently?: start over Transition 1
Comments: Good TA What would you do differently?: Not swallow water from the armpit lake of Raleigh. Bike
Comments: The Cervelo "phoenix" rose to the occassion although I didn't have my wireless computer working. Not to mention having it fly off my front fork. Luckily someone picked it up and turned it in, saving me a $70 computer. Without a tachometer or cadence monitor, felt like I had a good bike. Could've gone faster with a monitor though:) What would you do differently?: Go faster, much faster. Inflict pain on all swimmers in my age group!!!! Transition 2
Comments: Not bad except for the marathon run with from dismount to TA. They should move dismount closer! What would you do differently?: Under 1 minute Run
Comments: Felt like I could run 17:45 and after mile 1 I felt like I was going to do it (5:45). However I couldn't rid myself of a side stitch so I did what I could with a side stitch. I wasn't breating too hard when I finished unfortunately. What would you do differently?: Run 17:30-17:45 Post race
Warm down: Rode my bike trying to find my wireless computer. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lets see...swamp water, jello arms, no computer, and a side stitch. That's about it. Event comments: Should have finished in 1:13-1:14 but like the Cubs....there is always next year:) Last updated: 2008-06-22 12:00 AM
