Love this ride. Some newly paved road was nice. Felt great except on the hills.
What would you do differently?:

Work on riding hills. They KILL me. Work on confidence in taking turns at a bit faster pace. I slow too much at the turns.

Got one foot out of my bike shoe attached to the bike. Couldn't get the other out so I unclipped and ran with one shoe off and one shoe on. Got lots of looks and comments. Oh well!
What would you do differently?:

Get BOTH feet out of my shoes on the bike.

Comments:

Nice flat run. Legs felt heavy so I tried to find a pace that felt good. Got passed...a LOT! Ran the last bit of the race with another athlete that I was passing. It was actually nice. I pushed him and we both picked it up a little.
What would you do differently?:

Run more.

Warm down:

Found my brother. Drank some Gatorade. Ate some orange slices. Felt a bit nauseous.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My training has really gotten left behind this summer with family commitments. Unfortunately there was nothing I could do about it. Things have settled now so hopefully I can get back to consistently training.

Event comments:

I like this race. It has a nice course and is close to home. 2nd year doing it and hope to continue doing it in the future.
