Swim
Comments: I started OK, mostly crawl, but after a while I got winded and had to side and back stroke for a lot of the race. I finally got my breathing under control rounding the last bouy and did crawl the rest of the race. I was happy about that. What would you do differently?: Nothing really, I just need to bust my but a little more in the pool and do more open water swimming Transition 1
Comments: I didn't bother with socks because it was raining and they were wet. That actually helped my time Bike
Comments: I went all out on this, I was actually faster than my time in Big Fish What would you do differently?: Try to get more hill time in training Transition 2
Comments: I didn't rush this because I was still pretty beat up from the hills. It still wasn't a bad time. Run
Comments: I really paid for my more agressive bike ride with the run. My legs felt like spaghetti. It was slower than Big Fish. I had to walk up some hills, and I walked through the water stations. What would you do differently?: I just need to keep training for improvement Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: inexperience, missed training sessions, life. Event comments: I really went all out throughout the whole race, I wanted to see what I was capable of instead of worrying about finishing.I liked the venue and the organizion. Waiting in line 15 minutes for a toilet wasn't that great, but I don't know what they could do about that Last updated: 2008-06-25 12:00 AM

1 hour drive from Carleton, half asleep. Got there around 6:30. Walked around alot, talked with Kathy's cross country coach and a co worker that I inspired to get back into triathlon.
Walked, just before the start I got in the water and swam around a little. It helped me get comfortable.
