Run
Comments: 'EASY" was the mantra-found that I couldn't push or I would go immediatly into O2 debt. I wouldn't find out til later ( in the Boise ER), that my lungs were malfunctioning. What would you do differently?: Not be sick Transition 1
Comments: You must go slow to go faster. What would you do differently?: would like to try the rubber band/shoe method Bike
Comments: I'm a cyclist, so the bike portion is fairly routine, However, I was the sickest on the bike-I was literally hacking up flem the last 5 miles. What would you do differently?: Thought it was a pretty impressive ride for a guy on his deathbed. Post race
Warm down: Took 1/2 my dose of cold medicine about 60 minutes after race ended. BAD IDEA. The ephinephrin did something funny to me. Got terrible case of chills. GF thought she should get medical help, but after 30 min or so it went away. Took an unmedicated nap and felt pretty good later in the afternoon. What limited your ability to perform faster: sick-sick-sick Event comments: Inagural event, but well ran. Hosted in the one of the most beautiful places in idaho. I'll be back. still pretty sick, but slept well. Didn't warm up much-couldn't waste my limited energy. Static back stretches, couple of wind ups just before start.
