Pre-race routine:

Did a mile swim at the gym on Friday night. Fullers got in and we did dinner at the japaneses steakhouse. Saturday morning went down to race site to get packets and register late.
Event warmup:

It was cold and rainy, official temp was 55 but felt colder. Stayed upstairs in dome near uncrowded restrooms and stretched a bit.

Comments:

Started a little slow than ran evenly most of the way. Tried to pick up at mile 10 but didn't have much to give. Right hip and ankle were in a good bit of pain for the last 5 miles. 4:57 improvement over last year.
What would you do differently?:

Up until several weeks b4 the race I had really bad hip and some foot pain. I went to Dr Z and he said I needed new orthodics. Couldn't get them in time for race. Pace was good, stomach was great.
