Run
Comments: My groin/ab injury was there, but resting it days before the race was a smart thing to do. Also, my afternoon meal on Friday really helped carry me through, plus all my hydration. No cramps, not too hot. What would you do differently?: Be injury free! Get under 2:10. Post race
Warm down: Walked around the tents, stood in line for triple crown medal. Talked to family and stretched and got some snacks and lots of water. What limited your ability to perform faster: My groin injury, but I'm not complaining. Being able to run this at all, and PR, is a real accomplishment for me. Event comments: I"ll do this one again next year and hopefully not have any injuries to contend with. Great organization and wonderful volunteer support. Last updated: 2008-06-29 12:00 AM

Up at 3:45. Tea, banana, toast with PB and a little J. Drive to Balboa to get the buses to Pt. Loma.
Found a nice spot where I could see the sunrise and full moon go down. Sat up against the building and stretched, relaxed, people watched. Stood in line for porta potties for 20 minutes. Found a place in middle of pack to start and kept stretching and a bit of light jogging.
