I did some light stretching. Mostly a bit nervous about this being my first race this year.

I really stink at swimming but I am improving with lessons and training. I wasn't last out of the water for my wave but I was next to the last guy.

There was a long run up to transition. It wasn't bad though.
What would you do differently?:

I might want to try not using socks and moving with more urgency.

The course was short. The wind combined with the hills got the legs burning. It was a little tough to get up to speed.
What would you do differently?:

I need to climb better. My body type is not ideal for this. It would benefit me to lose 10 lbs.

I was put off by the idea of running on a sandy trail. I did like the fact that the course was winding and you couldn't see far ahead.
What would you do differently?:

I should push harder. I finished with a lot of gas left in the tank.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I had to use the bathroom pretty bad. I had an injury to the muscle on the front of my shin 1 1/2 days prior to the race. I couldn't point my toes up with out pain.

Event comments:

This is a good race. It was well organized and fun. This is a great race for a first time triathlete. It was a good race for my first this year. This is my 4th Triathlon ever. This was the first triathlon that I actually thought about the time instead of just finishing the event.
