Swim
What would you do differently?: Relax and go out slow Transition 1
Comments: Not bad, need to find a faster way to get out of the suit with out cramping up. Bike
Comments: Didn't want to go too hard as last year I bonked on the run. Legs prevented me from going faster, the HR was low but the legs were not responding well What would you do differently?: Push it a little harder on the first and last 10 miles Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Other than unbuckeling my helmet before I racked the bike, all was good. Run
Comments: Loved it. Held back the first 10k, I could have gone 6:45's for sure or faster, but wanted to hang on for a strong finish....and I did. What would you do differently?: go out a little harder - break 1.30 Post race
Warm down: chatted with Jeff, Rob, and Boo. Ate some pasta and hit the dusty trail. What limited your ability to perform faster: holding back Event comments: PR from last year by over a half hour, definately heading in the right direction. Need to knock some time off the bike and control the start of the swim better. Last updated: 2008-07-02 12:00 AM

Hung up in a detour in Kaukauna so i was 30 minutes late. Got to HC at 6 AM and parked a mile away. Got T1 set up and had to hit a BR, this is not typical for me, but I knew I had to go more and did'nt want to hold it. Missed the run and bike WU, not happy about that. Hit about 200-300 yards in the lake, apparently that wasnt' enough as you'll soon read.
