Swim
Comments: Part of the time involved the running from the water to T1. Not all that far, but the time actually swimming was a little shorter... oh well... it doesn't really matter with times this slow. Transition 1
Comments: Wasn't bad... for me. Bike
Comments: Good course... on the way back in... about 3 miles or less from the transition area... I felt like i was going to puke. i really didn't know why at the time... but I do now. I had mixed up some gatorade from powder. I used 500 ml of water, but had used enough powder for twice as much. STUPID. Not feeling well, I didn't eat much before I left so I took some gatorade with me... I should have just gone with water... but oh well... What would you do differently?: train more... duh Transition 2
Comments: This actually went well... I had second fastest T2 in my AG... lookit that. The overall winner was in my AG and I even beat HIM! heh. What would you do differently?: nothing... went pretty well. Run
Comments: This sucked. My base is so thin right now... I really had nothing. I just plodded along... oh well. This might be my worst 5k since my first in 2006. What would you do differently?: train more. Post race
Warm down: food... What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of training... not feeling well(headache, stuffy nose)... rough week at work causing fatigue... Event comments: first year that this tri was put on... A few things could be improved. They had a number of last minute registrations, so I got no bag of goodies, and no shirt... they will be sending me my shirt later... no big deal, but really... post-race food was good... logistics such as parking were difficult, but not unmanageable. Wasn't feeling well, so I got a late start... almost an hour late. Grabbed some peanut butter toast and a cup of coffee and headed out. Drove down to Bridgeport and got there just in time.
ugh.
driving very fast and praying fervently not to get pulled over... other than that... nothing.
