Swim
Transition 1
Comments: Slow swim one of the reasons was someone behind pushing my legs down all the time. What would you do differently?: overall my swim needs major improvements Bike
Comments: Took me 2-3 minutes to get into "normal pace" after T1, 2-3 times I had to shift to lower gears and avg. 18 mph vs. 22+ which means it’s not all flat! The "Shoulders" are too narrow and make the passing some what dangerous but overall it's a very fast course with good chances for A new PR What would you do differently?: Next time go all out Transition 2
Run
Comments: Legs felt really good from the beginning, pushed ~90% steady most of the way until the last mile were I pushed a bit more to go 1:05 minute negative split: 1: 12:46 12:46 2: 11:41 24:27 What would you do differently?: Next time go all out Post race
Warm down: Walking. cold drinks water and Coke What limited your ability to perform faster: The swim is my ultimate weakness Event comments: Well run race, water stops are well positioned, Volunteers are great, markers and signs on the Bike and Run course are accurate and visible. Sprint start early in the morning 7:30 is great so you can finish before the Sun comes out. for comparison the Olympic race goes well into the hot zone. Excellent race for 1st timers Last updated: 2008-07-10 12:00 AM
