Swim
Comments: I suck. What would you do differently?: Learn to swim efficiently. Transition 1
Comments: I tried the running jump thing for the first time today. It worked well and after watching the D3 coach's video on this website I was able to implement a lot of his tricks into my transitions. End result, over a minute off of my last race T1. Bike
Comments: I felt good on the bike. I received some tips from a buddy about pedaling and he adjusted my seat and aerobars, and it really seemed to help. I know 18.3 isn't very fast, but 1 month ago I did my first tri which was a super sprint consisting of an 8 mile bike, and I averaged 16, so this is a big improvement for me. I know, whoopppeee! Transition 2
Comments: Once again kudos to the D3 transition video on this website. Really helped this rookie. Run
Comments: I wonder if every runner has this problem. I come from a semi distance running background, and by the time I start to warm up and feel good, the race is over. The problem is that the other two legs won't allow me to go for greater distances yet, so I guess I just need more bricks. What would you do differently?: Do some brick workouts and get my legs used to the transition. Post race
Warm down: Stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of preparation for the swim. Event comments: This was a very organized race and everyone was very nice. I will definitely be doing this series in 09. Last updated: 2008-07-10 12:00 AM
