Pre-race routine:

woke up at 3, ate a vegan chocolate/pb cookie, left the condo at 4:45. My Grandpa took my mom and I to Balboa park, then hoped on a shuttle. Got to the Cabrillo monument, stood in the bathroom lines, and chilled with my mom.
Event warmup:

nothing, walking around
Run
  • 1h 55m 58s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 08m 51s  min/mile
Comments:

PR in the 10k!!! 50:59!! WAHOO!! went a little too fast on the downhills, right calf cramped up and had to keep stretching it out. The heat was pretty bad. It was a beautiful run, I had a great time.
What would you do differently?:

Hills and a few 12+ mile runs
Post race
Warm down:

grabbed medal, got my pic. taken, then entered back into the finish area to cheer everyone on

What limited your ability to perform faster:

calf and high temps/humidity, lack of LONG runs

Event comments:

I wish they had COLD water at the aid stations, didn't have the port o' pots locked at 5:30am ( many arrived as early as 4:45 am) and had coffee, bananas, or bagels at the start line.
