Event warmup:

We biked back and forth to the car to drop off various items we got. (packet, free stuff, map..lol)

Comments:

I had so much fun doing this ride. They stated there were 10,000 biking!! Roads were closed and my wave actually got to start moving approximately 2AM! Seeing the Chicago sights at nighttime was amazing and there were soo many people! As I mentioned before, it was a leisurely route but I wouldn't mind it to be less crowded and faster!! Oh, and it was HILARIOUS watching those leaving the bars at bar time! SO many interesting random things we saw......bar folks, cars stuck in the mix of 10,000 bikers, crack heads, a guy wearing a kilt biking, people trying to run with the bikers, nazi course marshalls....the list goes on......
Sponsored by McDonalds and Live music but ending at sunrise at the Fountain downtown Chicago.........priceless!
:)
What would you do differently?:

Now that I know where to park and the course...not much.
Post race
Warm down:

Strecthed and had some McDonalds FREE breakfast........well, they gave away bagels, apples spears, juice and cookies. And biked to the car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

10,000 bikers

Event comments:

Being in the middle of 10,000 bikers on Chicago's Lakefront was an experience!
