Swim
Comments: Something seriously wrong with my swim. Did an OWS at the same lake couple of weeks ago, everything was fine. Swam the Thurs before the race and I was getting passed by everyone out there, same thing happened with the race. What would you do differently?: Stop neglecting my swim training I guess. Maybe my forearm issue is causing be problems, but I don't feel it when I swim. Transition 1
Comments: T1 was ok, nothing special What would you do differently?: Could have run a bit harder up from the water. Need to practice mounting with shoes attached to the bike for future races. Bike
Comments: Pretty happy with the bike leg. Goal was to average over 20mph, managed 20.6, so can't complain about that. What would you do differently?: Not much, left my bike racked in too high of a gear, not a big deal, but need to remember that next time. Transition 2
Comments: Not the best T2. Fumbled around getting the bike racked a bit. Somehow grabbed the race belt of the guy next to me, almost didn't notice, but slowed me down once I did. Got shoes switched out good. What would you do differently?: Pay more attention Run
Comments: Pretty happy with the run too. Hard to believe I'd rank better on my run than my swim. What would you do differently?: Not much, keep on training, start looking to pace at < 8:00 minutes a mile. Post race
Warm down: Water, accellerade, beer. What limited your ability to perform faster: Crappy swim and overall fitness, pretty satisfied with my improvement in just a year though. Event comments: Really well run. Didn't stay for the pancake breakfast, but think that is a nice touch. Maybe one more water station on the run, but then I chug more water than most.
