Swim
Comments: Swim started well. Switch to backstroke was made difficult as lack of clouds meant it was hard to navigate. What would you do differently?: More swimming practice :) Transition 1
Comments: Was very tired from swim and uphill run to T1. Right bike shoe was hard to put on. Due to rain transition area was very slick so didn't risk running with bike. Bike
Comments: Lost ability to work front derailleur. Could not switch back to large chainring after climb. Had to replace chain on large wheel with hand while negotiating downhill... impressive :) What would you do differently?: Where's my P2C? :( Transition 2
Comments: Good transition. Only managed to remove foot from one shoes before dismount line. Once again, transition area was slick so didnt risk running with bike. What would you do differently?: not too much Run
Comments: Ran with a good pace, stopped at drinks station. Was overtaken by a little old lady.. damn her. Last 2 weeks have yielded lower leg pains after running so I was not confident that I would be able to run pain free. What would you do differently?: Trip the little old lady :) Post race
Warm down: Stretching and a good meal. What limited your ability to perform faster: me Event comments: What a great event. A picturesque area made the bike and run courses very enjoyable. Plenty of volunteers helping to guide you and despite the weather plenty of support from spectators. Oh the shirt in the goody bag was awesome! Im wearing it to work on monday!
