Comments:

As usual with the few times I have done 10k, when I hit about 7k I felt knackered. By 8k this passed and I picked up the pace when I realised my time was good. Last 1k pushed really hard, but didnt have anything left for a faster finish. Heart rate sat at 193-194 for last 1k. Felt physically sick upon crossing the finish line, but this passed after a minute.
What would you do differently?:

Not going off so fast when the start of the race is up hill.
Post race
Warm down:

Couple of miles walk back through town to my flat.
Bath that evening.
The next two days my legs were wrecked, quads in particular.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing, performed better than expected. More training will hopefully keep improving my times.

Event comments:

Very good race that I will definetly sign up for again next year.

Course: 238m of incline, quite a bit more than excpected. Started in George square, uphill along St Vincent street to start, with a small loop before climbing over the Kingston Bridge.
