Comments: 1st 5K: 27:32 2nd 5K: 26:43 3rd 5K: 27:10 Stayed fairly consistant until close to the end. I felt I was getting a little over heated and took a little extra time through the water stops to drink more water. I did pretty good on the uphill segments and controlling my breathing. Not bad for my first time doing this distance since the winter. What would you do differently?: Train a little more at this distance. Take little more water at the stops. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Water, watermelon, long walk back to the car. Did stretch before driving home. Took a nap after breakfast. What limited your ability to perform faster: Me being about 20lbs over the weight I should be. Event comments: The water stops I think were understaffed for the amount of people on the course. Several times I and several other runners had to take the cups off of the table because they volunteers were just being overwhelmed. Last updated: 2008-07-20 12:00 AM
