Pre-race routine:

Maggie and I stayed over at the La Quinta. Great room, but the people next to us were noisy,so I didn't get a lot of sleep. Ate a cliff bar and drank a powerade. Ate a banana before the race started.

We did not have a lot of notice before the swim start. I was sandwiched between two people as I was swimming. I moved over and found clearer water. this was probably my roughest swim. I got hit in the head several times.
