Swim
Comments: It Was Horrible... my worst swim ever... Minutes after the start I hit somebody on the stroke with my bad arm (rotator cuff and bursitis problem)and after that the swimming plan when down the drain. I breast stroke almost 75% of the course because I could not lift mi arm to save my life! Got to the finish line third to last, and really tired. What would you do differently?: I guess I have to hit the swimming pool and the weight room and try to really improve before my next one..I'm happy to know I finished this part on my own, but it was a horrible performance.I think the answer here is training training training! Transition 1
Comments: Getting out of the water i was tired, some Elvis legs, and in need of water to drink! I walk the run part to transition, up hill, and took me 3:06; when i hit the clock to T1 I did better. I guess the air on the lungs helped! Shoes, helmet and glasses got on pretty smooth. What would you do differently?: Run in the run part instead of walking. Didn't cross my mind it will be added to OA time. Some Tri shoes may help,. Bike
Comments: In general this course was great... Fast, a little to flat for those with no aero wheels or aero bars. But you could recover the time lost on the flats when you got on the hilly side. Just 1 problem! I CAN'T COUNT! Did an extra lap (4 instead of 3) I guess that that was about the stupidest thing you guys ever hear, but It's the honest true. What would you do differently?: Keep a counter jajajaja. I try to keep my bike computer on max speed so i would not be thinking on how much more i have to go, and I paid high for that mistake... Next time I'll use the wife with a number sign so i dont have to burn my legs! I know i could have a better time if I had pay attention. Get aero bars, fast forward seat post, It will come very useful on flats. Transition 2
Comments: This transition was very smooth. My only problem was my extra lap on the bike killed me. My right feet was numb. But the yanks and the use of the tri suit was a good idea, from my point of view at least! What would you do differently?: Get better position on the bike, so feet remain alive. Lost too much time walking trying to get the feelings back on it! Run
Comments: My feet was still numb, but i try to keep some pace. For a while jajajaj. 75% running (more like jogging!) 25% walking to get some air and recover legs! What would you do differently?: Forget the treadmill, get outside! A/C and TV don't help outside, you have to deal with the heat , the humidity and all those other factors when you are outside that will be more beneficial than the fast but wind/humidity/heat less environment of the gym room. Try some different shoes. Forget the glasses and the hat, or try some lighter ones. ; after the 2.5 k everything was to heavy and unnecessary! Post race
Warm down: Jump in the lake after crossing the finish line to kill the overheating.. Stretch on the water, especially legs and calves. Could have use more stretching, but I was overheated. Must remember next time. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Lack of experience and most important: Nerves and anxiety Event comments: I hope I get to do this race for many years more to come. I Love it! It was my first Sprint Triathlon ever and I think I could not have pick a better place to do my first one. From here up getting better is the only thing on mind! Thanks for all the support and the cheers, it was really good to feel peoples vibe when you passed by, even when I was dead last! Last updated: 2008-07-21 12:00 AM

Pray, Go over checklist, Play some nice music to relax. No breakfast (still full from dinner), Double Check transition bag.
A couple walks around the transition area, up and down, and looking for water. Get bike on rack, stretch.
