Swim
Comments: After my poor experience at Ironman Kansas, I was hoping for a much better swim here. I was able to stay very calm during the swim and actually had fun out there, despite the rain. Transition 1
Comments: My brother in law took over on the bike, so our transition was just me strapping the timing chip on his ankle and him making his way out of transition. What would you do differently?: For our relay, nothing. Bike
Comments: Not too many hills - brother in law was able to catch people on hills. Transition 2
Comments: My sister took over for us on the run, so our transition was pretty simple, again. Run
Comments: Her run started out wet and cool, but the sun began to come out the last couple miles, so it got hot and humid quickly. Post race
Warm down: Since we did a relay, only my sister was concerned with a cool down/stretch. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more training! Event comments: This event was very well organized and well run. My only concern was that bike in/out and run in/out was all within 10 feet of each other, making for lots of confusion for many of the competitors. Last updated: 2008-07-21 12:00 AM

I did this triathlon as part of a relay with my sister and brother in law. We left the house at 5:45am and made it to the race around 6:00. We were able to rack the bike the night before, which was nice.
Since we were doing a relay, we didn't warm up for the separate events.
