Comments: Smmoth swim, kept my exertion down to save soem juice for later. Time wasn't much better than last year, but I felt better (any there were more waves this year). What would you do differently?: Push a little harder and drop 2-3 minutes from the time. Transition 1

Comments: took about 5 miles to find my rhythm (which ended up slower than I planned/trained). Spent about 40% in aeros (not great but better than 5% last year). Bike computer had me averaging 18.4 mph, need to pick that up - maybe a real tri bike if I find enough $$ under the couch cushions. What would you do differently?: fueled well: 2 bottles GU and 2 GU gels + 3 clif shotblox (margarita - for the salt!). Helped avoid the wall I hit in the Oly last year Transition 2

Comments: Broke 9:00 mile pace! Goal was 3:00 Oly total and I knew I had to make up some time off the bike. Mile 1 got my legs back and was a little slow (9:45?). Miles 2-3 felt good and were around 8:45. Miles 4&5 felt sluggish, but the final gel and my drive kicked in and I think Mile 6 was a sub 8:00 mile as I pushed hard to finish in 3:00. (my stopwatch had me cross the line in exactly 3:00:00 (I have pictures!) What would you do differently?: Give myself a little bigger safety cushion on time Post race
Warm down: took a minute to walk and recover, get my HR down under 140. 1/4 bagel w/ PBJ and H20. What limited your ability to perform faster: slow bike time. But I hit my goal for the year - 3:00 at OshKosh Oly. Next year I am gunning for placing in the top 3 for the Clydesdale group. Event comments: Great event again, only negatives: Check-in table was slow, no drink station on bike and sprinters/fast Olys ate all of the post-race food. Last updated: 2008-07-22 12:00 AM

none to speak of, check-in line took over 30 minutes so I got my bag, chip and body-marked then set up transition areas (got the end a row!)
