Pre-race routine:

Got up early, ate a bar, jumped in the car and picked up my buddy and headed down there getting there right about when transition opened.
Event warmup:

I was fortunate that I was the first swim wave so I was able to get into the water and get a good 5-10 min warmup followed by a good stretch. Really helped out a lot.

Actually had one of my better swims. Was really stoked, was really calm even though I got hit in the face really hard the first 200. I think I actually got out of the water around 22mins, but with the beach run and paved run to transition my time was a bit longer.
What would you do differently?:

Really not much, I was really happy with my swim. Always room to improve but with it being my first OLY I was happy.

Must have left my run legs in my transition bag. I can usually count on my run to make up for lost time or keep position. For whatever reason it didn't happen.
What would you do differently?:

More Bricks with longer distances.

Little Gatorade and fruit then back to the course to cheer on the rest of the Ladera Cyclery group.

Event comments:

Tons of Marine's on the course and we were all grateful. Awesome race.
