Pre-race routine:

Alarm sounded at 3am. Ate some poptarts and drank Infinit. Race 2 of the Triple Challenge
Event warmup:

Rode my Bike to Monroe to enter Tranition. Got there before Transition opened along with about a 100 others.

Decent swim out of the water at the back of the front back. The 400 yd run without shoes was painful. The swim times includes the run to Transition which take a couple of minutes.

Triple Challenge had a decend rack space, but it was crowded weaving through the racks to exit T1.

Felt good on the course, so many pothols/bumps to feel completely at ease. I was hammer though through most of the sections. Being in Wave 1 was nice, as LSD was completely empty.

What would you do differently?:

Feet hurt running through T1 without shoes..should have left them on my bike.

I was really pushing the pace trying not to let up, caught the lead woman who had blown past me early on the bike.

First and Last time I do a race on Lake Shore Drive. Happy with 45th (2050)overall and 7th (190) age group.
