Pre-race routine:

Pretty normal - bowl of cereal, protein drink and a GU for breakfast. AT the site and racked by a bit after 7.
Event warmup:

Putting on the wetsuit is an event in and of itself! Went for a brief swim in the wetsuit just to stretch out.

Must have been a short course this year. I swam close to 2 minutes faster than the last 2 years. Did feel I had a good swim - pushed my limit and drafted when possible.

I felt like I pushed the ride about as well as I could. It's amazing to see the speed - to average 19.8 and be in the bottom 25% is tough. Still not real comfortable in aero or decending so could be a bit quicker.

More time in the saddle.

Never got a great rythem... I should have been able to run close to flat 7's on this but just didn't have it today on the run.

I really love this race and have had fun for 3 straight years. I'd recommend to anyone (esp. beginners). The volunteers are awesome and the organization is the best!
