I was a bit loopy after coming out of the swim. It quickly went away once I started the bike.

untie my shoes BEFORE the race

My legs were dead form the bike. I really disliked the trails, the uneven groud kinda messed me up. It took a mile or so for me to find my stride.
What would you do differently?:

More bricks!

I walked around for a few minutes.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My legs were spent from the bike. I felt like my lungs and heart were capable of more but my legs couldn't take it.

Event comments:

This was a great first race. I neve felt like I didn't know where to go or what was going on. There was plent of food afterwards, and the cheering from the volunteers was awesome!
