Swim
Comments: ugh. the first 150 or so were the worst i have EVER felt in the water! i think my split for the first 150 was like an hour or two! then things settled down and i actually felt like i was schwimmin pretty darn good!! well until a guy actually drifted over and got UNDERNEATH my arm.......well he got dunked and im not sorry for it!! What would you do differently?: be better in the first 150??? Transition 1
Comments: didnt push the pace in either of the transitions. cant believe the wetsuit got stuck again with all the bodyglide i had put on............ What would you do differently?: figure out the wetsuit thing, tho for next year not so much for the rest of this year.......... Bike
Comments: was cold starting off.......good wind plus being a bit wet from the swim i guess......otherwise was a pretty good ride i thought (effort wise anyway). passed some donkeys saying hi then got the taminator in my sights and rode with her for a few miles, which was enjoyable! What would you do differently?: i kinda liked this ride to be honest...... Transition 2
Comments: again, didnt push the pace on either transition, just made sure i had everything......... What would you do differently?: not much.. Run
Comments: felt icky at the onset, had something in my right shoe besides my foot that ended up leaving a cut under my big toe....left hammie felt icky too but that all went away shortly after the first "water stop"....then i felt good and picked up the pace but ran out of real estate and couldnt catch the donkey wolf (who had a great race!!) What would you do differently?: make sure nothing in me shoes but me feets!! Post race
Warm down: um, yeah, warm down?? whats that??? actually went right back out on the course and hunted down fellow donkai and cheered them in, hopefully it helped them out some! What limited your ability to perform faster: i enjoyed this race actaully....... Event comments: the water stations on the run were pitifully undermanned (the one at the turnaround you took the cup of the table yourself) and it seemed the people that were there didnt quite understand how to do it.....more volunteers out on the bike course couldve been useful as well. food was basically gone when i went to grab some grub causing me and the schwimmycoacher to stop at wendy's on the way home!! drove up to the venue while listening to some good ol' techo music!! and eating a bagel, a can of slimfast, a french vanilla cappachino and a NOS energy drink along with a granola bar.
find spot to park the van, walk bike over, checkin, get marked, find transition spot and then chitchat with all those wonderful donkai!!
