I got to a certain level early in the run and couldn't put more into it. I paid attention to the runners from the second heat when they passed me and was able to pick up some better running technique.
What would you do differently?:

I need proper running shoes.

Warm down:

Stretched, filled up on water and Gatorade, and had a pretzel before taking off.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I was very tired from a busy day at work and then driving down.

Event comments:

Well-organized and lots of fun. Really laid-back, if a race could be called such. It was a good mid-week activity and nice warm up for the Vincentown Sprint the following weekend.
