Swim
Comments: I tried to stay more in line with the group so I wouldnt zig-zag as much. I still found myself zigging and zagging. What would you do differently?: I will get better at this with time and several planets in alignment. I could have placed top 3 in my age group if my swim was in line with my competition. The top 6 in my age group were all given a 6 min head-start out of the water...you welcome!! Transition 1
Comments: Rocked this transition!! I was within seconds of all the fastest. This transition has a long run in and out so my actual time in T1 was minimal. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Out to turn around at about 23mph and 25 on the way back. Pushed hard the whole time. Left a little for the run, but not much. I am stoked with this result!!! What would you do differently?: Drink a bit during the bike so I feel better in the run. Transition 2
Comments: Again, this went as planned. Within seconds of all the top guys. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: For the first mile I was feeling great, keeping a 6:45 pace. My goal was to get just under 7 min/mile. Then at the turn around I took in some water. I had a splitting side ache the whole way back. Saw a guy in my age group heading to the turn around so I picked it up a bit but he flew past me! I tried to keep the pace up but it was tough. I passed a few people on the run. I gave it everything on this run. Happy with my performance in the run today! What would you do differently?: More speed work. I think my leg is getting back to the point were its ready to be pushed a bit. I know with more training I'll be able to get my time down. Post race
Warm down: Walked around with Red, went and ate some food. What limited your ability to perform faster: My slow ass swimming. I'm going to put an endless pool in the back yard and live in it. I will turn into a fish, grow gills, and come back and destroy the competition!! Event comments: Needless to say the highlight of today was my bike performance. I knocked over 5 minutes off my PR for a sprint dist tri!! I'm hooked, cant wait for the next one!! Last updated: 2008-08-03 12:00 AM

Bagel with peanut butter, loaded all the stuff in the car and headed to pick up Red. On the way I stopped and bought starbucks. Iced, tripple, tall, espresso, with mocha.
Jogged for about 5 minutes. Swam for about 10 minutes before the start.
