Run
Comments: I blew up at mile 10. The dehydration and lack of nutrition caught up with me. What would you do differently?: Knowing that I was sick, I should have started out at a slower pace. A slower more consistent pace may have yielded a better time. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: My illness and poor decision making. Event comments: Weekend at Disney was great and the race was well organized. I just had a bad day. Last updated: 2008-08-04 12:00 AM

I want to thank my support (you know who you are). With out your strength and encouragement, I would have never made it to the starting line!
I arrived in Orlando on Thursday morning and checked into the hotel. Went over to Epcot walked around a bit and had dinner. After registering and going to the expo I went for a short (3 mile) run. Everything was great until about 6:00 on Saturday morning when I woke up with and upset stomach. After puking my guts out, I spent the rest of the day in bed with diarrhea. I didn't eat or drink much all day (not smart before a big race). When I woke up at 2:00 on Sunday morning I felt better than I thought I would. Took a shower and got on the shuttle bus to the race.
Stretched and walked around.
