Comments: First time swimming in a 50m pool... feels great not making all that turns. Transition 1
Comments: Not that bad considering everything was scattered on the floor Bike
Comments: Wish I knew how many laps we had to do. I guess they gave out this info on the pre-race speech. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Rough start, legs not responding well. Catch my breath after the first hill. Much better from that point forward. What would you do differently?: Train harder Post race

Well, this was our first Tri for me and my son (18), so we got up early and headed to our destination with plenty of time. After hours of reading posts and articles we tried to prevent all we could for our first time. Got to the gate (event held on a Military Base) pull out our ID’s and, what do you know, my son’s drivers license is expired by a couple of days… so we can not get in, we need a valid ID… For all the excitement we build up these past days, all of the sudden came a feeling of frustration. We showed him some School Id, but the guy was final on his decision… You can not pass. The only thing left to do is go Home (40 minutes away), grab his Passport and hope we make it on time. … … So we came back, the Registry Table was gone and everybody had started. Terrible feeling came back… but, finally a break! A nice lady saw us with all of our gear and call the Registry guys and they turn the computer back on… “Just hurry on to the pool, they are closing” she said. So we did, we just took everything out of the bag and throw it on the floor (so much for all the videos seen on how to prepare your station).
