Event warmup:

I did a little stretching and jogged around a little, drank some water and made a bathroom stop. I should of spent a lot more time warming up and stretching.

Comments:

This race went just how I planned until right before mile 10 when I pulled my hamstring AGAIN. I was on pace to break the 1:27:00 mark but had to jog in the last 2 1/2 Pancake Flat miles. I was not happy. I cruised on the first 4 miles and then just sort of coasted the next 5 miles and was getting ready to turn it back on for the last couple of miles until I had to stop and walk because my hamstring all of sudden tightened up into a ball. It's the same right hammy that was bothering me a couple of weeks ago. One positive is I did PR my 10K time along the way. My 10K split was 42:15 and my 5 mile was a PR at a 33:23 split too.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. If this was my A race I would of ran through the hammy injury, but since I have more races to do I know it was smart to pull up and not tear it.
Post race
Warm down:

I just walked around and stretched and waited for Tyra to come in.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My hamstring. I need to spend more time stretching and working on my flexibility.

Event comments:

This was a well organized race and I will definitely do it again.
