Run
Comments: Started off in a nice big pack. The weather was cold and foggy. Hit mile 1, came through the tunnel and saw Jefferson taking pictures, heard Marna and Chrissie cheering and felt great. Felt great and didn't feel as though I was pushing it. Came out of the trails into the city of cohoes feeling great, ran down the hills and into watervliet. Started to feel it a little bit as legs got heavier. Saw Marna, Chrissie and Jefferson around mile 8 at mcdonald's. Gave Marna my long-sleeve in exchange for a water bottle. Downed the water and hit the trail. Stopped and poured Gatorade into the bottle, took a bathroom break, and hit the last 5 miles. Took it a little easier and tried to keep my pace around 7:15 or so. Came into the final stretch and felt great so I pushed it. I also didn't want to get passed from the man behind me grunting like a womans tennis player down the last few 100 yards. What would you do differently?: Again, push it around the last 2 miles to find that breaking point. Other than that, nothing. Post race
Warm down: Walked around with Marna, Chrissie and Jefferson. Then out to the diner and to the airport to see--unfortunately--Chrissie and Jefferson back to Orlando. Event comments: A local race without much fanfare. But, just right for not having to travel and the course is fantastic!!! Last updated: 2008-08-17 12:00 AM

Jefferson & Chrissie came up from Orlando for the wknd. Had a little too much fun on Friday playing beruit (beer pong) then went to Lake Placid on Sunday.
Got up early on Sunday, had a bagel, got to the race start, picked up my bib no., sat around for an hour, stretched, and went for a 1/4 mile wu.
