Pre-race routine:

I decided to do this Sunday race while I was driving back from Saturday morning's Xterra race . . . so not a lot of rest or preparation.

Never been so rushed in getting registered or setting up, but made it.

Comments:

1500m along the length of the downtown canal. Truly an experience. Shallow, but deep enough to swim; pretty clean; narrow, so easy sighting and navigation. Several 90 degree turns; I have never had to swim the tangents before but it saved time.
