Swim
Comments: After run/walking the whole way there, and thinking I was late, I was a little stressed. The Starters were cool though, and put me in the 5th Wave. I was still a little messed up, but swimming is my event, so I was able to settle in and work it out. I felt good and was not breathing hard at the end. What would you do differently?: GET THERE EARLY!! Would have liked to be in the first wave to get the fun of swimming with people at my speed, and not having to run over people like I had to do at the 500 meter to end mark. Transition 1
Comments: I am not a biker, so getting my bike shoes clicked in has been an issue. Still working that one out. But I was quick to get over the Transition line. What would you do differently?: Practice my jumping on the bike and clicking in my shoes. Need a lot of work. Bike
Comments: The bike for me went well. I had two issues. The top part of the bike, the right turn was right after the only real hill, so I was coming down fast and they only had a girl who was just not pointing and too quite to be in that spot. I blew the turn, and to come back :( Then the second loop signs were not clear either and the guy working there was not directing at all, turned the wrong way there too :( What would you do differently?: Would study the map, and try to be clear on where to go. Just need to work on this, and get faster!! Transition 2
Comments: Had a good change out here. Thought I was out in good time. What would you do differently?: Speed up, I was not as fast as I thought I was. Like to be one of the fastest on Trans 2, but not this time. Run
Comments: Started well, but fell apart for the 2nd loop. What would you do differently?: Just not ready for the distance, need more work on this. I would have been great in a Sprint distance, but just not ready for the extra 5K. Post race
Warm down: banana, water, gatorade. Stretched out the body. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to work on the distance. Could bike faster, and run at a pace that would keep my times the same for each mile. Event comments: Need more volunteers, and the Transition area needed to be watched. Would like to have strong, loud people on those two bike turns I mentioned. But it was a great race, and I would do it again. The swim turned my light blue cap, light green, but it was still fun to swim straight like that. Last updated: 2008-08-19 12:00 AM

Got up around 6am, did not think I was running late. Ate a breakfast bar, and powerade. Got setup at Transition area, and found out I was LATE!!, started walking fast to almost running to the start line.
Warmup was my run/walk to the start line. Just over half way there, I saw the first wave, the wave I was suppose to be in.
