Comments: Jacob blasted into T2 & hit the brakes. My mission: take his timing chip. place it on my ankle & run like *#@*. What would you do differently?: Have the bike racked closer to the run exit. I had a long run before starting the run. Run
Comments: I started the run 3 overall thanks to Jacob's excellent splits. Of course, I started off way too fast, 6:30 for the first mile. Settled down & was running comfortably @ around 7:15 pace. Held that until about mile 9. Last 4 miles were closer to 8:00s. I couldn't get enough fluids while running. What would you do differently?: Take a bottle. I just can't drink from cups on the run. Especially gatoraide. Also slow down at the start Post race

I am running only.
Usual 2 bowls of cereal. @ cups of coffee since i would have plenty of time before my part of the race.
Since I was only running, I had plenty of time to warm up. I watched the sprint start, Half swim start. then relaxed until about 9:00. rode my bike for 30 minutes out on the course. Everyone was staring at me because i was going the wrong way. I didn't even have a number on.
