Pre-race routine:

Since Scott was working the race for Set Up Events we had to be up and at the race site by 5am. We stayed at the Hampton Inn was was nearby. We got up around 4:30am...grabbed some cereal and coffee and drove to the race. Set up my transition and just waited for the race to begin.

I was a little worried about how my shoulder would hold up. My goal for the race was to finish and just to see how the shoulder would feel. I was definately not out there to race during the swim. The shoulder was a little tight at the beginning of the swim but loosened up on the way back in.

This was my first race wearing my biking shoes. I had a little bit of a problem getting the one shoe on as they are still a little tight. No problems clipping in!

I felt I had a good run but I was a little mad at myself that I didn't pick it up a bit at the end. The girl who came in second ahead of me was within sight and I just didn't push like I should have.
