Comments: Ran faster on 2nd half of race. Stayed with 4hr marathon group for first half, once I sped up the course seemed to open up for me and I had less side to side and avoiding people. THis was my first HM so breaking 2 was my goal. I felt strong with some mental obstacles at mile 11 to 12 but after that I got a surge. Didn't slow during this time. Had a very strong kick last 1/4 mile. What would you do differently?: Next time start with 3:50 marathon group and try to stay steady and out of the masses as much as possible. Post race
Warm down: light stretching at finish waiting to see the marathon finisher. What limited your ability to perform faster: I think I performed "on schedule" with training. Light stretching only. Need to arrive earlier next time for more stretching and to get a better starting position
