Pre-race routine:

Setup transition in the rain. Tried to keep as much stuff dry as possible which was pointless. Drank some gatorade and had a powerbar.

Walked around looking at the course. 100m swim to loosen up.

I found this bike to be difficult. Right out of transition I couldnt get my HR down because of the initial climb. I drank 2 bottles of gatorade which haunted me with cramps. However I just had my bike professionally fitted, and this made a huge difference in comfort and average speed. I highly recommend this to anyone who will be biking long distance.

Train more, drink less.

Nothing. Possibly jump off bike but the weather was bad and I wasnt feeling up to it.

I felt like hell for most of the run. Probably from drinking too much on the bike and the exertion. Had a hard time on the uphill near the turnaround point.

Despite wanting to die 1 mile into the run, I had a good race. The event itself is very well organized and a lot of fun. The sun had come out for the awards which made it nice to sit and relax afterwards.
