Pre-race routine:

Ate apple, stretched.
Event warmup:

Stretched.
Run
  • 1h 32m
  • 6.21 miles
  • 14m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

I was very ill with a sudden upper respiratory infection, so did not perform very well -- I considered myself successful merely for having finished.
What would you do differently?:

Not run when ill. Eat less the night before.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched, went into WhiteWater and immersed myself in cold water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Illness, feeling of fullness. Lack of radio.

Event comments:

This course gets a bad rap for being too hilly, but mostly it was doable -- the hills are lengthy, but gradual.

Oh, for those who aren't religious, there was a rather religious vibe to this race.
