Swim
Comments: absolutely paniced with the surf conditions and didn't even put my head in the water for the majority of the swim. This was the worst swim I have EVER had including my first. I will be spending a lot of next summer in open water swimming workouts. What would you do differently?: relax and go with it Transition 1
Comments: the swim took a lot of energy so I was at this point deciding to race myself for splits because the race was essentially over for me. Bike
Comments: Rode through a pile of people. I wonder what I could do this ride at if I wasn't fried from the water? Thought I passed Dave after a couple of miles, but I don't know who it was. What would you do differently?: not really much Transition 2
Comments: ok, not tremendous but since everything was soaked and sandy it went ok What would you do differently?: rinse feet in t1 if I was on sand Run
Comments: Not disappointed in this run, it actually was the fastest I have gone for 3.5 in a race, and I realized I actually passsed quite a few people. I never havve done that before, but I never started so far back after the swim either. What would you do differently?: This is my winter project, I will get faster and if I drop the extra 15 pounds and eat better this will really look better Post race
Warm down: got dry and drove home, ate some McD's breakfast. What limited your ability to perform faster: The freak out of the swim, and the extra 15 I carry. The last time for both! Event comments: This is 2 of 3 years they swam on beach 6 at the lake side and it has been pretty rough. Last updated: 2008-09-06 12:00 AM

drove 2.5 hours and ate a pop tart and coke, gut felt off on the drive.
Looked at the rough water and that got the blood flowing
