Swim
Comments: This was a reverse tri, so swim was last. Water was warm and crowded, I didnt know how far behind the 2nd female was so I wanted to get a move on. I'm not a great swimmer, but luckily the OWS has helped me be a bit more assertive, I was pretty aggressive as I pushed my way throug the log-jams int he water. Was really happy to be first woman out of the water. Transition 1
Comments: Someone had laid their bike over my stuff. Bike
Comments: I really wanted to push the bike. I took the corners more carefully as there was a lot of water on the roads. They let too many people register for this race, so the course was too crowded. Transition 2
Comments: It was wet! Saw Jerry at the bike mount line. Was still 1st woman out of transition. Run
Comments: Run was first, we started in the canal and ran along then up and out of it. I was disappointed that they shortened the run, it was already too short! I love to run. I knew I had to go out fast and hold the pace, came in first woman. Post race
Warm down: Waited with my family and friends by the pool and watched the rest of the tri team finish. Everyone did great! Went back to get my stuff, my helmet was nowhere to be found. Ugh! I placed first female and got a TriSports gift card (buying a new helmet) and won Heed in the raffle. Out team- TriRevolution- did great in the overall and age group awards. It was cool! Event comments: This race had the worst race shirt ever. They put a diver/BMX biker/Football player on the logo. WTH! I'm keeping the short just because it looks so bad! Otherwise a fun race. Short but fun :) Last updated: 2008-09-08 12:00 AM
